Gisborne and Hawkes Bay Rain spreading north later today, then gradually clearing tomorrow afternoon. From Waikato and Bay of Plenty down to Manawatu, also Wairarapa Occasional rain, with some heavy falls on the hills and ranges today. Clearing from the south overnight or tomorrow morning, then mostly fine apart from afternoon showers north of Taupo and further rain in the west at night. Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury Cloudy areas today, with a few afternoon showers in Marlborough and about the Canterbury Plains and foothills. Mostly fine tomorrow.
